Sofia Escobar is an alumna of Hartwick College and currently an MFA candidate at Hollins University. She has been published in WordybyNature, Rising Phoenix Review, Sigma Tau Delta’s Rectangle, The Academy of American Poets, Outrageous Fortune, The Auburn Circle, and Hartwick College’s Word of Mouth. From 2022-2024, she was the recipient of The Anna Sonder Prize of The Academy of American Poets, and in 2023 was the recipient of the Eleanor B. North Poetry Award. Her first chapbook, Sky Scorpion, was published by Dancing Girl Press in 2026.
